Liverpool flop Oussama Assaidi is not on the verge of joining Anderlect, according to talkSPORT.
Reports had linked the Moroccan international with a switch to the Belgian giants, though Anderlecht have insisted a potential switch is not thought to be imminent.
Assaidi, who has also been linked with Feyenoord and Utrecht, has failed to make an impact at Anfield having joined Brendan Rodgers' side last summer from Heerenveen.
The 24-year-old winger, who made just six appearances in all competitions last season for the Anfield club, looks set for a summer exit, but it's believed that talk of a £2.6m move is premature.
With Rodgers looking to revamp his squad as Liverpool chase a top four Premier League finish, Assaidi's future is likely to lie away from Merseyside.
The Liverpool chief has already been busy this summer, bringing in the likes of Kolo Toure, Simon Mignolet and Iago Aspas but to name a few, whilst the likes of Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel continue to be linked with Barcelona and Napoli respectively.
And although Anderlecht have denied a move for Assaidi is close to completion, it looks to be a matter of if, not when the Morocco international leaves Liverpool.
