"Coach" Ted Lasso certainly caused a stir when he somewhat surprisingly replaced Andre-Villas-Boas as Tottenham manager last week.

Indeed the shock move left the Spurs faithful scratching their heads as the Portuguese master tactician was ousted in favour of the unknown American with the loosest of grasps on the rules.

Luckily for the north London club Coach Lasso was none other than Hollywood actor Jason Sudeikis filming a hilarious advert to promote NBC's upcoming coverage of the Premier League in America.

The four minute-long film - entitled An American Coach in London - has garnered over 2.5 million views since it went live on Saturday, and has been met with acclaim from both sides of the pond.

Now Spurs have published a look behind-the-scenes of the filming of Coach Lasso as he attempts to impose himself on a group of pampered soccer stars.

Check out the video below and see what it was really like for the clueless coach to take command of Spurs' superstars at their high-tech training ground!
