Jose Mourinho came a cropper against his former side last night as Chelsea stumbled to a 3-1 against Real Madrid in the final of the Guinness International Champions Cup.
Mourinho quit the Bernabeu earlier this summer to begin his second spell in charge of Chelsea, but could do little as his new side suffered their first defeat of pre-season in Miami.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show just days after the "Special One" had aimed a dig at the Portuguese ace by claiming he wasn't the "real Ronaldo", a title he says belongs to the Brazilian striker.
The former Manchester United man had the last laugh however as he scored twice - once with a superb free-kick he celebrated by seemingly gesticulating towards the Chelsea bench and another with a header, after full-back Marcelo had given the Spanish giants the lead.
Ramires had earlier pulled it back to 1-1 but in truth the Blues looked unlikely to go on and grab the win, although Frank Lampard did spurn a golden chance to make it 2-2.
