Bayern Munich are one of the most celebrated football clubs in the world - mostly thanks to their recent treble success in the 2012/13 season.

But the biggest talking point has been that why have Bayern Munich been so successful, rather than other big giants like Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Here are five reasons for their success

Developing their own stars

Bayern Munich are responsible for the manufacturing of their own star players and the credit has to be given to their immensely talented managers in the recent past especially Jupp Heynckes. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mario Gomez, who are an example of this.

Their biggest star Arjen Robben too changed his faith after entering Bayern as he struggled to make a name for himself at Real Madrid and in Bayern Munich, he finally got the honours to score the Champions League winning goal . Dante has earned a place in the Brazilian squad along side other Thiago Silva.

Jupp Heynckes

Heynckes has been the magical man behind Bayern’s success. He is the man who has taken the team forward  so positively and has hardly fallen into any controversy regarding his comments.

He has been responsible for the establishment of many young stars like David Alaba. He had taken his team very smoothly through all the major matches which very few managers are able to do.

Cementing a place in major clubs as manager has become a very difficult job nowadays and Jupp Heynckes has done it without it doubt. But, Bayern will miss his services as Pep Guardiola has taken over as boss of the Bavarians.

No rivalries

Borussia Dortmund - the only possible rivals are dealt very positively by Bayern. Bayern haven’t been in any pressure regarding derbies and arch-rivalries in Germany.

Hence, this has given them more time to focus on the European stage. But Borussia Dortmund’s triumph in the 2011/12 season had put Bayern Munich in some spot of bother, but they bounced back very strongly in the next campaign.

This is a factor that probably Manchester United is struggling with many rivals like Manchester City and Chelsea which has restricted their preparations to the Premier League itself.

Senior players

Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and Phillip Lahm are just some of the senior mates in the team. The seniors have not rested a while after cementing their place in the team and have been regularly giving outstanding performances.

This in turn has improved the overall quality of the game in the side which also boosts the youngsters to perform better. When the seniors play their part so wonderfully, the youngsters mature and are able to get comfortable in a better manner.

Stability

Bayern Munich have been firm and stable for years and we have not seen a a lot of transfers taking place in and out of the team.

This has helped in building a firm grip and coordination between the players which is essential for the success in major tournaments.

The chemistry between the players is very strong and this is really important for a world class football team. Clubs like Manchester City and Real Madrid are lacking in this sector because the team is not stable for a long period of time and the players are not secure in their positions.

Bayern look a very formidable side at the present and many other clubs would be looking to follow their path of success and the qualities they possess.
