Manchester United are considering making a bid for Luis Muriel if Wayne Rooney decides to quit the club, reports the Metro.
England striker Wayne Rooney's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain as Chelsea look to land the unsettled striker.
Manchester United have already turned down two bids from Chelsea, including the latest bid believed to be around £30million.
However, reports suggest that the 27-year-old is adamant he wants a move to Stamford Bridge and is considering to hand in a transfer request this week.
Meanwhile, David Moyes is lining up Udinese starlet Luis Muriel to replace Rooney this summer.
The former Everton boss is believed to be a long-term admirer of the Colombian striker, who will cost the Premier League champions around £18million.
Muriel is also understood to be monitored by Liverpool and Barcelona.
The 22-year-old scored 11 goals last season for Udinese and was named Serie A Young Footballer of the Year in 2012.
Manchester United remain adamant that Rooney is not sale - but Chelsea are poised to return with an improved third bid before the window shuts.
