Arsenal have confirmed forward Gervinho has joined Serie A side Roma for a reported fee of £8million.
Gervinho, who joined Arsenal from Ligue 1 side Lille, will be reunited with former manager Rudi Garcia at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Ivorian international - who signed for the Gunners in July 2011 - failed to make an impact under Arsene Wenger after a £10.5million switch to the Emirates Stadium.
A statement on Arsenal's official website read: "Everyone at Arsenal would like to thank Gervinho for his contribution to the club and wish him well for his future career."
Gervinho joins a long list of players who have left Wenger's side this summer - with Andrey Arshavin, Vito Mannone, Sebastian Squillaci and Andros Santos all having departed the club thus far.
Wenger has only brought in free agent Yaya Sanogo during the transfer window but has made Liverpool's wantaway striker Luis Suarez his top transfer target.
The Frenchman will be hoping he can convince Premier League rivals Liverpool to sell their star man before Arsenal's season opener against Aston Villa on August 17.
