WWE’s WrestleMania main event plans have been scrapped, according to The Wrestling Observer.

The WWE has had the main event plans for WrestleMania 30, which will be the biggest professional wrestling show in history, set since April however these plans have now been scrapped.

The storyline leading to the main event has already begun on WWE TV, with storylines showing tension between Vince McMahon and real life son-in-law Triple H. The storyline would have led to a Triple H heel turn and a WrestleMania main event pitting Triple H against McMahon.

13 time world champion Triple H would have fought WWE Hall of Famer, Stone Cold Steve Austin, who would have been fighting on McMahon’s behalf. However, these plans have now been changed.

Although the reason for the change is not known, the most likely reason seems to be that The Rock has signed a new contract with the WWE and will now replace Austin as McMahon’s representative in the match.

It is also possible that Austin will now face CM Punk at WrestleMania in a dream match pitting the beer drinking Hall of Famer against the straight edge superstar; however this is not yet confirmed.

The original plan would have seen the McMahon family unite at SummerSlam before splitting again later in the year when Triple H would turn heel.

The story-line is expected to progress more slowly than originally planned however the culmination is still set to see Triple H face a McMahon representative at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.
