Manchester United are considering a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, reports The Guardian.
David Moyes is believed to be a long-term admirer of the Croatian.
Modric, 27, has had limited first team action at Real Madrid, since he moved to the Spanish capital last summer for an initial fee of £33 million.
Manchester United have already seen two bids rejected from Barcelona for midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas remains top target for the Premier League champions this summer, but the Spaniard recently confirmed his stay at the Catalan club.
Manchester United were reportedly preparing a third for the former Arsenal skipper, but have now been linked with a bid for Everton's Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
However, The Guardian understands that Moyes is considering bid for Luka Modric, who will cost at least £25 million for the Red Devils.
Moyes has insisted that his priority this summer is to sign a midfielder for his new club and the former Tottenham star could be an appropriate answer to Manchester United's midfield crisis.
