Karl Robinson gave his thoughts on last week's draw for the Capital One Cup which sees them play Sunderland.

He also found time to play down his side's chance of causing another upset at a Premier League ground.

Last year the Dons produced one of the upsets of the FA Cup when they beat QPR 4-2 at Loftus Road in front of a record away crowd.

The Dons also claimed two Championship sides scalps in the two domestic cups last season beating Blackburn 2-1 at Stadium:MK before beating Sheffield Wednesday in a FA Cup third round replay.

The two sides, MK Dons and Sunderland met in last year's Capital One Cup but at Stadium:MK.

Sunderland ran out 2-0 winners on this occasion so the Dons will be wanting revenge at the Stadium of Light.

Despite Robinson's side's giant killing antics last season Robinson has played down chances of another cup upset making Sunderland 'hot favourites' and laughing when the interviewer said 'it's a winnable tie' before making the comical comment 'I don't know about that' when he spoke to MK Dons Player.

The Premier League side will be the favourites to cause an upset and the Dons manager said: "It's a Premier League team and you have to show them the respect they deserve.

"They are a wonderful football club with tremendous traditions and some wonderful players and it'll be an honour to be on the same pitch as them."

"We'll feel that we can go and compete. There's not a thing I've ever done in my life that I don't think I can win, but you've got to be realistic as well and they'll be hot hot favourites."

The Dons will make the long journey up to Sunderland on the week commencing August 26.
