Surprisingly, David Moyes is yet to make any major signings this summer, and with both Manchester City and Chelsea adding quite significantly to their squads, Manchester United fans have a real cause for concern.
The Scotsman has inherited a fantastic squad but his failure to replace United legend Paul Scholes, after his retirement from professional football, could potentially spell disaster for the club.
So far in this window United have failed to capture a number of their midfield targets, with the likes of Kevin Strootman, Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas all choosing against a move to Old Trafford.
Recent reports have suggested that United may renew their interest in long-term target Luka Modric.
The 27-year-old could be the perfect man to bring in.
Modric has already proved his worth in the Premier League in his time at Tottenham Hotspur just years 4 years ago.
The Croatian also possesses the ability to become a top player at Old Trafford and help United remain the best team in the country in the future.
Although Modric could cost as much as £40 million, Moyes should certainly do all he can to bring him to Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.
