NEC Nijmegen only finished in 15th place in the Dutch Eredivsie last season, barely escaping the dreaded relegation playoff battle. The Dutch outfit are currently in last place after one match of their 2013-2014 campaign.
As the club attempt to climb up the table and stay clear of relegation this season, they have provided their players with a new incentive to give it their all each and every game.
The winner of the 'Man of the Match' award for NEC Nijmegen will win a very special car wash after the game.
But this is not just any kind of car wash. This is a car wash that will be performed by three blonde women in two-piece bikinis.
Every man's dream just came true.
The first winner of this coveted prize was Victor Palsson, a former Liverpool youth prospect, who won the man of the match award after the side's 1-1 home draw against Osasuna in a pre-season friendly.
He expressed his appreciation over receiving the reward for his performance via his Twitter account. He wrote: "Thanks @NEC_Nijmegen for this MOTM prize after the game vs. Osasuna. The car has never been cleaner."
With the prospect of clean cars washed down by beautiful young women, NEC Nijmegen will hope that every one of their player's performances will improve to win the prize.
Improved performances will hopefully keep the side clear of relegation this season, as a new incentive for higher achievement keeps each player striving to win the 'Man of the Match' award.
