Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rekindled their interest in Porto's Christian Atsu, according to Sky Sports

21-year-old winger Atsu, who has also been subject to interest from Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool this summer, is thought to be keen to leave the Primera Liga champions after deciding not to renew his contract which expires next summer.

The Ghanaian international is subsequently not thought to be in manager Paulo Fonseca's first-team plans for the coming campaign and he could be keen for a reunion with the man who gave him his debut in the professional game - former Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas - at White Hart Lane.

Atsu has made 52 appearances to date in a short career that also included a productive season-loan loan spell at Rio Ave during the 2011-12 season.

However, any Spurs move for Atsu is likely to depend upon the future of Welsh starlet Gareth Bale, who continues to be strongly linked with a world record switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
