Connor Wickham made the most of some terrible goalkeeping from Scotland U21's keeper Jordan Archer as he lifted a volley over the embarrassed youngster.

Wickham was starring under Roy Hodgson, who was in temporary charge of the U21 side at Brammall Lane last night.

Hodgson would have been extremely pleased with his young Lions after they beat the Scot's comfortably 6-0.

England's goals were scored by six different players as, Nathan Redmond, Raheem Sterling, Ross Barkley, Jonjo Shelvey and Tom Carroll added to Wickham's strike.

Shelvey's goal was the pick of the bunch as he struck a bullet into the top right hand corner of the net.

However, the game was certainly one for the young Scotland keeper to forget and Wickham's goal will be one of the main talking points of the night.

The senior England squad will hope to be given a similar gift tonight as they meet the Scot's at Wembley.
