The anticipation for Summerslam was built further last night on Raw when WWE announced major changes to the card.

After Brad Maddox cost Daniel Bryan a confidence boosting win over Wade Barratt in the first match of the night, Brad asked Vince McMahon to give him another chance by letting him referee John Cena vs Daniel Bryan at Summerslam.

Vince was about to agree when Triple H came to the ring and told him he would referee before delivering a pedigree to the Raw general manager.

This was major news to the WWE championship match and later on Miz TV both men said they would be unaffected by The Game inserting himself into the match before the game came out followed by Mr Money In The Bank Randy Orton to build a little momentum.

You have to wonder though, why would Triple H get involved if he wasn't going to cause an upset? Vince says he doesn't care who is the champion but there seems to be a a few people who don't want Daniel to win the biggest title in the business, will The Game stand in his way?

There was also a segment where The Shield wanted two men to step up and face them at Summerslam, we thought no one had answered their call but after RVD won the battle royale that secured his place on The Kick-Off show against Dean Ambrose for the United States Title.

The Shield made their way to the ring, Mark Henry elected to stay and none other that The Big Show decided to make his presence known. The beasts vs The Bests part two?

We also had a backstage Divas segment where Natalya goaded Brie into a match after her slap last week, and Brie accepted, slapping Natalya back.

So the new updated card for Summerslam is as follows:

John Cena vs Daniel Bryan - Sp referee Triple H (WWE Championship)

Christian vs Alberto Del Rio (World Championship)

RVD vs Dean Ambrose (United States Championship) (Kick -off show)

Kaitlyn and Dolph Ziggler vs AJ Lee and Big E Langston

Brie Bella vs Natalya

CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman

Kane vs Bray Wyatt (Inferno Match)

Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow

Mark Henry and Big Show vs The Shield is still yet to be announced but this may be announced on Smackdown, or just be a distraction ahead of Summerslam.

Either way, Smackdown will be recorded tonight and all matches will then have been announced ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Don't miss it this Sunday at 1am.
