Italian giants Inter Milan have announced the loan signing of Chelsea's Brazilian defender Wallace.
Wallace, 19, who signed for the Blues from Fluminense in December 2012 but remained with the Rio de Janeiro-based outfit until the end of the season, has featured for Chelsea during pre-season but was never expected to feature in Jose Mourinho's first-team plans for the coming campaign due to potential complications over a work permit.
Wallace will remain at the San Siro for the duration of the new season.
A statement on Inter's official website read: "FC Internazionale welcomes Wallace Oliviera dos Santos to the club.
"The paperwork on the Brazillian defender's loan move to Inter from Chelsea has been completed and the documents submitted to the Lega Serie A."
Inter, who finished ninth in Serie A last season under Andrea Stramaccioni after trailing eventual champions Juventus by a mammoth 33 points, begin their 2013/14 campaign under the management of new boss Walter Mazzarri with a home fixture against Genoa on August 25.
Chelsea, meanwhile, entertain newly promoted Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as Mourinho, who won the Champions League during a hugely successful two-year spell at Inter between 2008-10, officially embarks upon his second stint in charge of the West London club.
