Arsenal would greatly benefit from signing Julio Cesar, and here's why.
The Gunners need a new goalkeeper before the start of the 2013/14 season and need to provide competition for current no.1 keeper Wojciech Szczesny whose form was not great last season.
The move would also be the right one for the goalkeeper - playing in the Championship won't help Cesar to maintain a place in Brazil's starting XI. He will be determined to play at the highest level, especially in a World Cup year.
In 2012 when he signed for QPR, it proved to be a big bargain. He was the only consistent performer in the team providing top draw displays and jaw dropping saves which earned him international call ups.
Despite being 33 he proved that he deserves to be at a Champions League club. /He would be the perfect purchase for the north London outfit and would provide a great mentor for Szczesny.
The current Arsenal keeper has shown promise over the past couple of seasons, since taking over from Manuel Almunia. Too many times last year, though, Szczesny made foolish mistakes and would only improve watching Cesar at close hand.
