Manchester United are close to tying Belgian starlet Adnan Januzaj down on a new long-term contract, according to the Guardian.
Januzaj impressed on Manchester United's recent pre-season tour of Asia and Australia - which led to the 18-year-old being given the opportunity of appearing in the Red Devils' Community Shield win against Wigan Athletic.
United boss David Moyes has moved quickly to hand Januzaj a new deal as La Liga giants Barcelona were said to be chasing his signature.
Former Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson labelled Januzaj as 'one of the most promising talents' that had come through United's academy at the end of last season.
Ferguson rewarded the attacking midfielder Januzaj with a place in his final ever Manchester United squad against West Brom on the final day of last season.
Januzaj failed to come off the bench during United's 5-5 draw but is expected to make his Premier League debut during the course of next season.
