Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he'll work up to deadline day to sign the players he wants.
However the Frenchman remains unsure on how many players he'll be able to bring into the club before the close of the transfer window.
So far Wenger has only managed to sign young forward Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre on a free transfer earlier on in the summer.
Wenger told Arsenal's official website: "I cannot certify what the number of players coming in will, but we will be active until the end, that is for sure.
"We are in a situation like Manchester United, like Chelsea, where everybody expects signings and at the moment not a lot has happened.
"There are 18 days to go, so that is a long time in the transfer market and we will be active."
To date the Arsenal boss has only trimmed his squad by showing the door to the likes of Marouane Chamakh, Gervinho, Andrey Arshavin, Denilson and Andre Santos.
Wenger has failed in his attempts to bolster the Arsenal squad with his pursuit of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez ongoing.
Elsewhere, Napoli snapped up Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain which leaves Wenger short of transfer targets.
Arsenal fans have growing concerns regarding the lack of signings at the Emirates with the start of the Premier League starting this weekend.
