The U13 Mexican football scene isn't exactly the most coveted area of the world game, and for that reason coverage of the Octavos de Final Torneo back in April was minimal.
Forgive us then, for missing this incredible backheel volley goal scored by Cruz Azul striker Sebastián Castro, who is now - months later - starting to gain the recognition his impressive showboat skill deserves.
After winning a throw-in on the right wing in the final third of the Chivas half, a quick one-two and lofted cross is met by 13-year-old Castro on the edge of the 18-yard box.
With the ball sailing over his head, the tricky teenager flicks out a leg behind him and unbelievably sends the ball looping over the unsuspecting goalkeeper and into the net, to score undoubtedly the greatest goal of his burgeoning career.
An amazing piece of trickery rewarded by the best possible outcome.
