David Moyes replaced Sir Alex Ferguson as the manager of Manchester United this season.

Moyes does not have any major trophy to his name as a manager. His reputation is barely established outside England. He has struggled to land his transfer targets this season, with Cesc Fabregas, Marouane Fellaini and Luka Modric said to have rejected his offer.

Moyes admitted that he could seek help from his predecessor to make new signings.

He said: “This club has ways and means of attracting the top players of the club. And if we needed to use Sir Alex he would be more than happy to help."

Moyes also reminded the media that he has an 11 years' experience of managing a Premier League club - in Everton.

He further told: “Sometimes it’s forgotten I have managed in the Premier League for 11 years so I am relatively experienced in those terms.

“In my mind I have landed the biggest job. Yes, I am a rookie at Manchester United but I am not a rookie overall. I hope I am able to show that as the season progress.”
