Barcelona are interested in acquiring the services of Brazilian defender David Luiz.

Jose Mourinho however, has suggested that the Brazilian is an integral figure in his plans to take the title. It may also be said that Luiz was influential in any success Chelsea have enjoyed in recent times.

For anyone that is a fan of the defender, you know that the one thing he possesses other than skill, commitment and power, is charisma.

Whether you see him in the press or on videos posted by the official club, David Luiz is always creating the atmosphere of unity, friendship and companionship.

Jose Mourinho has reiterated that Barcelona are ‘wasting their time’ in their hope to lure the defender to Spain.

With some truly inspirational performances last season, and a few brilliant goals, it doesn’t look like the Chelsea defender will be leaving anytime soon. Even if Barcelona increase their bid.

Yes, Luiz would perform superbly in Spain, but it seems that he enjoys a more physical and enduring game, which the Premier League without a doubt offers.

It has also been suggested that the 26-year-old is next in line for Chelsea captaincy, further adding to his leadership and his role of ‘bringing Chelsea together’.

If it be true, then Luiz will be a great replacement to John Terry. But I do believe that that captaincy should be awarded after Terry retires.
