Manchester United striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez has rejected the opportunity to move to Valencia, revealing he wants to stay at United and help the team challenge for titles, according to his agent.
The Mexican has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford but only has his heart set on staying in Manchester.
Chicharito has found playing time hard to come by since the arrival of Robin van Persie at the beginning of last season, but is willing to fight for his spot in the team and help the Red Devils defend their title and challenge for the champions league.
His agent, Eduardo Hernandez, was quoted on goal.com saying: 'Of course he wants to play more, to have more minutes, to participate more but the wants to do it with United, he wants to defend the title and go far in the champions league.'
'The interest from Valencia was real. He had the chance to speak with the sporting director (Braulio Vazquez), but Javier, I reiterate, wants to stay at Manchester United, thats the challenge. He is very grateful to Valencia and other clubs that have called him,' he added.
Eduardo then make it clear that the 25-year-old is not motivated by money, he just wants to play and be part of the Old Trafford team. He also mentioned that Chicharito is well aware that Manchester United is a very competitive club and that he has to work hard on the training ground and fight hard everyday to play in every games.
