37 goals were scored across the weekend in week three of the Eredivisie - two teams kept up their 100 per cent winning record while two teams were condemned to their third defeat in three Eredivisie games.

PSV Eindhoven made it three wins out of three with a 3-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles to stay top of the league. Elsewhere, PEC Zwolle also made it three wins out of three this season with a comprehensive 5-1 win away to NEC Nijmegen. A double from Fred Benson along with goals from Jesper Drost, Youness Mokhtar and Kamohelo Mokotjo made it an easy win for the visitors. Christoph Hemlein scored NEC’s goal but this loss will put manager Alex Pastoor’s job in doubt after their third successive loss.

Cambuur Leeuwarden got their first win of the season with a 4-1 win against Gronigen. Michiel Hemmen opened the scoring early on and this was followed by goals from Erik Bakker, Ramon Leeuwin and Wout Droste. Gronigen pulled a goal back to make it 3-1 through Michael de Leeuw but this proved to be a consolation. Cambuur moved up to ninth with the win while Gronigen slipped down to sixth after their first defeat of the season.

A double from Luc Castaignos and Quincy Promes along with goals from Dusan Tadic and Rasmus Bengtsson completed a comprehensive win for Twente to leave them third on seven points. The defeat puts Utrecht in to 16th place on just one point.

Elsewhere a last minute goal from substitute Michiel Kramer gave ADO Den Haag a 2-1 win away to NAC Breda after NAC equalized late on through Alex Schalk to cancel out Aaron Meijers opener but it proved not enough. Its den Haag’s first win of the season to move them up to 13th while NAC move down to 15th.

Heerenveen’s 100% record was ended after a surprise 4-2 home defeat to Heracles. Alfred Finnbogason opened for the home side before the visitors raced in to a 3-1 lead with goals from Lerin Duarte, Ben Reinstra and Mike te Weirik.
