Arsenal's surprise defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday left the club's fans venting their anger at the lack of signings made by Arsene Wenger and the board this summer.

As the club strive to improve their squad before the transfer deadline, one of their former employees; Jeremie Aliadiere, is at the top of his game with his recent run of form meaning he has been linked with a move away from the club.

But after committing his future to fellow Ligue 1 side Lorient, Aliadiere hit a wonderful free-kick to give his side all three points in a 2-1 victory over Nantes.

The striker failed to live up to expectation with the Gunners, with injury and poor form playing a part in his failure at the club.

However the Frenchman is enjoying his football with Lorient, and starting to attract the attention of a number of clubs after he scored 19 goals in 34 appearances last season.

Check out his latest goal in the video provided.
