Shakhter Karagandy boss, Victor Kumykov speaks 24 hours before their Champions League playoff first leg clash against Scottish champions Celtic.
Kumykov did not hold back in his praise of Celtic and hinted that the Bhoys have a great squad depth.
He also stated that his team will have to avoid defeat at home to stand any chance of going through, they also must take a very strict tactical approach to the game.
“We’ve watched enough games to understand how well the opponent is playing. They appear to have a rotation system," Kumykov is quoted by The Scotsman.
"The Scots have 20 players, all of a high class, which allows you to play football, without compromising its quality. Any player may enter the field, and play equivalent.
“We will play very strictly, both in defence and in attack. The most important thing is to not lose at home, and to try to score.”
Despite being ranked over 200 places below Celtic in the UEFA club rankings, Karagandy will not be regarded as pushovers by Neil Lennon's men as they knocked out BATE Borsov, who were seeded first in the second qualifying round, and Albanian Champions KS Skënderbeu to get this far.
The Hoops arrived in Kazakhstan on Saturday following a 2-0 victory against Aberdeen.
Celtic are currently on a six-game unbeaten run this season and will be looking to build on this with a strong performance at the Astana Arena.
