FIFA legends set for battle in Champions Trophy

Four of the best FIFA players in the world will meet in this year's Champions Trophy at Gamescom in Cologne - and GiveMeSport will be covering the event live.

Three former FIWC (FIFA interactive World Cup) winners will be competing in the event, including reigning champion Bruce 'the machine' Grannec, with German national champion Kai Wollin holding home hopes on his shoulders.

Two-time champion Alfonso Ramos and 2011 winner Francisco Cruz will also be taking part, and the later has a point to prove after missing this year's final showdown in Madrid just a couple of months back.

Spaniard Ramos will also feel like he has a point to prove, after crashing out at the group stage in his homeland. He also felt the pain of defeat in the inaugural Champions Trophy, losing to Grannec at the 2012 event in Vancouver.

The Frenchman certainly won't be taking his opponents lightly 12 months on however, with all four proving in the past that they have the ability to win on the big stage.

And, it comes no bigger in Europe than Gamescom, as fans from around the continent converge to hear the latest news in the world of gaming.

EA Sports are expected to make a number of big announcements, as well as showcase clips and trailers from FIFA 14, and there will be no better way to demonstrate the game's improvements in the hands of these skilled operators.

The tournament will take place tomorrow, and GiveMeSport will bring you all the latest news on the most anticipated football game of all-time.

We'll also have exclusive interviews with all four competitors, as well as a Q&A with reigning champion Grannec tonight (Tuesday).
