Internacional striker Leandro Damiao says he is happy in Brazil at the current time, even though he has attracted attention from the Premier League, especially Liverpool.

The 24-year-old Brazilian international has been link with a host of clubs including Tottenham and Southampton, with Liverpool being the latest club to be linked with the striker.

The Reds have so far failed this summer to land a marquee signing, and look to have missed out on Anzhi Makhachkala forward Willian, who is bound for Tottenham.

Spurs and Southampton have been reported to have offers turned down for the striker, who has admitted that any offer received would have to be very substantial to tempt him away from Brazil.

"The first time I was sounded out, I was happy, but I have to overcome that now - I am focused on Internacional - it has to be a good offer for me and the club," he told UOL.

Liverpool have been busy this summer in landing the likes of Iago Aspas, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure, but have failed to get the big-name they desire.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was their primary target but he eventually joined Borussia Dortmund, while another target, Diego Costa has penned a new deal with Atletico Madrid.
