Arsenal are considering bid for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, according to the Dailymail.

Arsene Wenger is keen to replace injury-prone Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The 32-year-old is reportedly unsettled at the Spanish capital after he was benched by Carlo Ancelotti for the Real Madrid's La Lia opener this weekend.

The Gunners are willing to pay £8 million for the Spaniard, though the report claims the north London club's moneymen fear Real Madrid will not consider any bid below £15 million.

Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a disappointing defeat against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger wants to bolster his squad with world class signings and Casillas is believed to be ready to quit the Spanish giants this summer.

Arsenal have also been linked with Queens Park Rangers' goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

However, the report claims the Brazil international is happy to remain at the Championship side for the time being.
