Had injuries not affected so much of his early career, it's possible that Jack Wilshere would have been higher on this list.

But, still only 21, the Arsenal midfielder can make up for lost time.

The Stevenage-born star is a future captain of both Arsenal and England - and has all the qualities to become one of the world's top midfielders.

The Gunners pulled off a major coup by tying him down to a long-term contract in December, but expect Europe's top clubs to start knocking if his team continue to miss out on trophies.
