Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 have released their official trailer at Gamescom - a day after FIFA 14 did the same thing.

Konami and EA Sports are once again expected to go head-to-head in the computer game market next month, with the two franchises head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to fantasy football on the major consoles.

And, it was no surprise to see PES 2014 focus on their UEFA Champions League licence in their three-and-a-half minute video, as a team went through the group stages of qualifying.

The fact that this team was Celtic, however, will have caught many off guard.

In the video, the SPL champions can be seen losing against Juventus, before going through some rigorous training in an effort to make some much needed improvement.

Fraser Forster then plays a staring role in preserving a draw against Galatasaray, before the Bhoys produce a huge upset against Bayern Munich.

Perhaps this was Konami trying to show that an underdog can prevail against the odds, but their choice of Celtic for this particular video is a surprise, given that Neil Lennon's side are anything but certain to qualify for the competition this season.

But, moving away from this shock selection, the video did give fans a chance to see the game's improved graphics, some smart new passing features and the odd miraculous block. The question is - if you're not already a Pro Evo fan, will it persuade you to buy PES 2014?

Check out the video at the top of this article, and let us know your thoughts. Can Pro Evo upset the odds and beat FIFA in the football computer game battle this season?
