In a recent poll conducted by Spanish newspaper Marca, a majority amount of Real Madrid fans stated their intent for Iker Casillas to start in goal.
The legendary shot-stopper, who has spent his entire career in the Spanish capital, and won various honours along the way, has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by as of late, and former number two Diego Lopez has often been the preferred option.
But fans at the Bernabeu have made no secret of their support for the Spain captain, and used an online poll conducted by Marca to vent their feelings.
In the survey, 50.4% of people asked though Casillas should be the starting keeper, 59.4% wanted him to start in Madrid's next league fixture against Granada, and a massive 60.6% were of the opinion that regularly rotating the goalkeeper- a policy manager Carlo Ancelotti may be in favour of- was a bad idea.
The subject of Casillas' squad status problems brings into the spotlight the possibility of him leaving the Bernabeu this year. According to reports, a number of English clubs have enquired about the 32-year-old, and it is believed that he Casillas may well decide it's time to move on if he cannot regain his place in the starting line-up.
