Premier League: Most wanted players (1)

Published Add your comment

Given the failings of Manchester United and Arsenal to recruit in earnest this summer, the final weeks of the summer transfer window appear set to prompt a flurry of activity at Old Trafford and the Emirates Stadium.

Both clubs have made just one signing each since the window opened, with Arsenal clinching the signature of Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer and young Uruguayan Guillermo Varela joining the Red Devils for a minimal fee.

There is, then, likely to be some significant moves for Arsenal and Manchester United within the coming days, while the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea also remain busy in the transfer market.

With much of the world's top talent already having moved this summer - Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Neymar, for example - there is a rush to recruit from an ever dwindling pool of candidates.

With the market as it is over six weeks into the window, top clubs are now fighting more intensely with each other to sign the players still available to bolster their respective squads before the September 2 cut-off.

But who are the players attracting the most attention from the Premier League's most prominent clubs?
