Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has said his side will 'go for Barcelona' in tonight's Super Cup game against the La Liga champions.

Courtois - who is currently on loan from Premier League side Chelsea - has called on his teammates to claim a victory in what will be his 100th appearance for the the Spanish side.

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino could hand a first competitive start to Neymar in the match at the Vicente Calderon.

Courtois, speaking in a pre-match press conference, said: “I would like to win against Barcelona as it is something I have not yet done."

“For a two-legged game we know it is going to be difficult. In other countries, or even with the European Super Cup, the trophy is determined with just one game. But here there are two, which makes things more complicated.

“But we will go for Barcelona and for the title.”

Courtois will be hoping Barcelona wont be in the same impressive form as they were on Sunday when they thrashed Levante 7-0.

Atletico Madrid host Rayo Vallecano at the weekend before travelling to the Camp Nou next week for the second leg of the tie.
