Arsene Wenger was delighted with the response from his team after Arsenal sealed a 3-0 victory in Istanbul last night.

Arsene Wenger looked for a response from his team after their disappointing home defeat to Aston Villa in their opening game of the Premier League season.

After the Aston Villa game, the fans vented their anger at the lack of summer signings, as Arsenal have only recruited the young French striker Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer.

It was key for both Wenger and the Gunners fans that they silenced the critics with a good convincing performance in Turkey.

The atmosphere was always going to be electric and it was vital for Arsenal to gain an upper hand and dictate the game. Arsenal began the brighter side limiting Fenerbahce to any successful attacks in the final third.

The crowd became frustrated with their side's performance as Arsenal took the game to Fenerbahce but were unable to capitalise on their domination.

Kieran Gibbs put the Gunner’s in the lead before Ramsey added a second with a superb strike from 25 yards, Oliver Giroud rounded off a resounding performance with a fine finish from the penalty spot to secure a 3-0 victory.
