Tottenham fans will be excited to hear the news that the club are the firm favourites to sign Roma forward Erik Lamela - after his brother revealed as much on Twitter.
It has been well documented that manager Andre Villas-Boas is keen to sign the Argentine, and with the confirmation from Lamela's brother, Brian, AVB is set to take Spurs' summer spending to around £120m.
Despite interest from rivals Arsenal, the 21-year-old is believed to be set on joining the White Hart Lane club, with Brian tweeting: 'Erik is more than sure to go to England,' in response to a fan.
When asked: 'do you know what club in England is the likely destination (choices) for your brother, please reply.'
Brian simply replied: 'Tott…'
The reported £31m signing is believed to be part-funded by the departure of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in a £109m deal.
Villas-Boas has already splashed out £60m on four new players, and with the arrival of playmaker Willian imminent for a reported £30m, the summer spending totals around £120m.
Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli, Paulinho and Etienne Coupe already brought in by the Portuguese who looks set to add to his new-look squad.
But despite the summer spending spree, AVB has ruled out Spurs being title contenders.
He said: "I don't agree we can be contenders for this season because everything is happening, everything is changing.
"We haven't had lots of time to work with them but believe that in the future we can definitely achieve it."
