Manchester United are growing in confidence in their fight to land Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil, according to the Daily Star.
The Premier League champions are keen to land Ozil this summer, making him David Moyes' first marquee signing.
Moyes' hopes to land the 24-year-old has been handed a boost as Gareth Bale nears Real Madrid move.
According to the reports, Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is close to signing for Real Madrid in a world record transfer.
While Ozil, who joined the Spanish giants in 2010, has seen his place under threat after the star arrivals of Bale and former Malaga playmaker Isco.
The Germany international has been guaranteed regular football under Carlo Ancelotti and is understood to be ready to move Old Trafford this summer.
Ozil has been linked with Manchester United earlier in 2010, but was lured by then Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
The former Werder Bremen star will cost at least £35million for Manchester United as Moyes understands that he will have to break club's record signing to land Ozil before the transfer window slams shuts on September 2.
Moyes has previously failed to land top target including Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara, but the former Everton boss remains confident to signing Real Madrid's unsettled playmaker to bolster his midfield options in Manchester United's season.
