Arsenal fan calms down after Fenerbahce win

Arsenal fan Chris Hudson threatened to become the symbol of Arsene Wenger's final few months at the club.

After Arsenal's opening day defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates, many fans were left bemused with the state of the club's affairs.

The club are yet to spend any money in the transfer market this summer and many, including Hudson, were calling for Ivan Gazidis and Wenger to step down if the situation continued to deteriorate.

However, in football you are just one win away from changing everything.

Arsenal's 3-0 away win against Fenerbahce all but secured their place in this season's Champions League bringing in significant funds and the prospect of top quality opposition as a result.

Hudson was interviewed after the game in Turkey and appeared in much higher spirits calling Wenger 'intelligent' and asking him - calmly - to kick on in the transfer market after this win.

It goes without saying that many people at the club will be relieved at the sight of Hudson, who has become the mouthpiece for fans in recent days, looking happier.

Arsene Wenger has announced that the transfer market starts now for Arsenal and the BBC are reporting that they could spend £100m in the next 11 days.

Things are definitely looking up for the fickle fans of Arsenal.
