Real Madrid have jumped the gun by prematurely selling Gareth Bale replica shirts on their official website.
The Spanish giants are expected to seal a world record deal for the Tottenham forward before the close of the summer transfer window.
The latest batch of reports suggest Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini was in Madrid on Wednesday night to put the final touches to the big-money deal, although manager Andre Villas-Boas has consistently maintained that he won't be sold.
Now Madrid have given the clearest indication yet by seemingly accidentally putting for sale Bale shirts with the number 11 on their Official Real Madrid store website.
The website was taken offline shortly afterwards, apparently for "maintenance" and was back up later with Bale's name removed.
Spurs are seemingly consigned to the departure of their star player and have targeted deals for Barazilian star Willian and Roma's Erik Lamela, although the former could now be on his was to Chelsea after the west London club made a late move for his signature.
