Liverpool are set to move for Groningen's Serbian starlet Richairo Zivkovic, according to the Daily Express.
The man dubbed the 'new Arjen Robben' has attracted admiring glances from a number of Europe's elite with a string of eye-catching displays in the Eredivisie. But it is Brendan Rodgers' side who are currently heading the queue for the player's signature.
According to Serbian newspaper Blic, the Anfield giants have scouted the attacker on numerous occasions, and have been suitably impressed with what they have seen, and are now plotting a move for the 16-year-old sensation.
Speaking to the paper, Groningen president Hans Nijland said: "All the big clubs in the Netherlands are interested in him but Liverpool scouts are particularly active. They are constantly watching us."
Zivkovic, who became Gronigen's youngest ever player having made his first-team bow in December, also holds Dutch nationality, opted to represent his mother's home country having been impressed with Serbia in the under-19 European Championships earlier this summer.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been active in the transfer market this summer, and should a move for Zivkovic come to fruition, he'd join the likes of Simon Mignolet, Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto and Kolo Toure in making the switch to Anfield this window.
