Manchester United are ready to make a move for Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil after reports in Germany emerged that the Spanish giants are willing to sell the former Wolfsburg star for £38million.
Manchester United have already been handed a boost in their quest to sign the Germany international as Real Madrid close in on Tottenham star Gareth Bale for a world record fee.
Ozil's place at the Bernabeu has already been threatened by the arrival of former Malaga playmaker Isco.
While, Bale's move to 'Los Blancos' will further danger Ozil's chances of playing regular football at the Spanish capital.
The 24-year-old is keen for first team action this season as he prepares to be part of his national side in next year's World Cup.
Ozil's representatives have already told Real Madrid that he will prefer to join the Premier League champions if a deal for Bale materialises.
Meanwhile, David Moyes is still in search for a marquee signing for his club and wants to bolster Manchester United's midfield with the signing of the Real Madrid star.
However, Moyes understands that he will have to break club's record signing to land the £35million-rated playmaker before the transfer window shuts on September 2.
