Anzhi Makhachkala playmaker Willian could join up with fellow Brazilians David Luiz, Oscar and Ramires at Stamford Bridge this season, after it was reported that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was looking to hijack the Brazilian's £30 million pound move to London rivals Tottenham.

Willian has been the subject of interest from numerous teams this summer, including Premier League sides Liverpool, Manchester United, and Spurs. It appeared that Liverpool were odds on to land Willian, but the prospect of European football appeared to sway Willian's decision the other way when deciding whether to join the Reds or not.

Just a day ago it was reported that Spurs were very close to sealing a deal for Willian after he passed a medical. This transfer was expected to go ahead but now Chelsea have come in at the 11th hour to try and land the Brazilian at the expense of their rivals.

With the potential departure of Bale appearing to be imminent, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy had made Willian his top target to replace the Welshman, but now may turn his attention to Argentine Erik Lamela.

The Willian transfer saga has proven to be an exciting one, with many more potential twists and turns to come no doubt.
