Chelsea flop Marko Marin scored twice during an impressive display in the Europa League, as his Sevilla side ran out 4-1 winners over Polish outfit Slask Wroclaw.

The German's second-half brace, along with goals from Ivan Rakitic and Kevin Gameiro, helped Sevilla recover from falling behind early on to run out comfortable winners in the first leg of their qualifying round.

Sevilla now look set to make it through to the group stages of the competition, after they were brought in as a replacement for Malaga and Rayo Vallecano’s who were suspended due to financial irregularities.

The 24-year-old joined the Spaniards on loan earlier this summer, after struggling to hold a regular place in the Chelsea squad since his £7 million arrival from Werder Bremen in 2012.

With new manager Jose Mourinho blessed with a squad full of attacking talent, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Marin, but Sevilla will be hoping the German can maintain the level of performance he put in last night.
