Harry Redknapp insists he is working as hard as he can to try and add to his promotion-chasing squad before the transfer deadline on September 2.

The former Tottenham manager has been left frustrated so far in the window after missing out on Scott Parker and Gary Hooper, both of whom chose Premier League clubs instead.

Despite this, Redknapp has made five additions to his squad already and says he is working hard to secure more in the coming days.

Redknapp told reporters: "Everyone is working hard. We've moved a lot of players on, which was always going to be a tough job. We're still looking to strengthen.

"We're looking for the right type, but if we don't find them, then we've got some good young kids coming through."

Redknapp's QPR are amongst the favourites to win promotion straight back to the Premier League and there has been a major upheaval at the club following relegation last season.

The club have moved on four high earning players in Jose Bosingwa, Djibril Cisse, Christopher Samba and Adel Taarabt and the 66-year-old insists he will take his time replacing them.

He said: "The dressing room is a good place to be around at the moment.

"We've been looking at a lot of options, but we're taking our time to get the right type of players."

QPR travel to Bolton in the early kick-off tomorrow lunch time.
