Jose Mourinho says that Willian has almost completed a move to Chelsea, according to the Telegraph.

It will come as a shock to many Tottenham Hotspur fans, as they were ready to welcome their latest signing on board, with widespread reports surfacing everywhere about 25-year-old Willian undergoing a medical with Spurs.

But, Mourinho insists that they have taken the player from under Spurs' nose, and though it is not a done deal, he's has made his mind about where he wants to play.

"I think he's already made his decision,” said Mourinho.

The Chelsea boss also gave a tip to André Villas-Boas, somewhat rubbing salt in the wounds with the imminent move.

"That’s the danger of medicals before contracts. The best thing to do is do the medical in secret," he added.

Mourinho seemed happy due to these recent developments, but added that somebody will have to make room for the Anzhi Makhachala star - possibly on loan - but it is not going to be Juan Mata.

"He’s a player we all like and want to keep," Mourinho said. "We want more quality, not less. He’s not a player we want to lose.”

There have been reports the past couple of days about a possible swap of Wayne Rooney and Mata, but Mourinho has quelled those claims previously and did so again here.

Therefore, Victor Moses could be the man loaned out to accommodate Willian into the 22-man squad.

Mourinho added: “I want a 22-player squad. If someone comes, someone leaves. Do we have to sell? Probably not. I don't like to work with big squads, I like small squads. At the same time, we like to leave the door open for kids to come in.”

The signing will definitely bolster Mourinho's squad, and with 'the special one' determined to make one more signing before September 2nd, we could yet see the arrival of another marquee name this summer.
