Arsenal travel to Fulham this lunch time and, in just their second Premier League game of the season, many have suggested that the Gunners cannot afford to be defeated.
To call the second game of a league season a 'must win' or a 'must not lose' is something that you don't see very often.
And, in all honesty, the Gunners can lose the fixture with their London rivals today and still have a very successful campaign. They will have just the 36 games to make up for two early defeats.
However, as much as Arsene Wenger's side can suffer defeat and still progress this season, they could really do without it.
After last week's dismal defeat to last season's relegation battlers Aston Villa, the Gunners faithful were chanting 'spend, spend, spend' and understandably were left very frustrated by their team's efforts. It was certainly not the start to the season they had in mind.
And if defeated today, they would be trailing the league leaders by six points already, and despite the fact that not many look at the table this early in the season, six point off the lead would be an unhealthy place to be for Arsenal.
It would be a psychological blow and many would quickly come to the conclusion that the Gunners will only challenge for a Champions League spot.
Many fans, rightly or wrongly, will think a title challenge will be out of the question.
However, momentum is a great thing, and if the north London outfit can kick on from where they left off against Fenerbache, then they can really get their season up and running.
Two wins in a row will quickly turn any negativity at the Emirates around and, if new faces can be brought in over the coming days, fans, players and coaching staff will quickly start to believe in their club once again.
Wenger may have left his transfer business extremely late, however if he can get the right faces to the Emirates before the close of the transfer window, then all is definitely not lost.
So, to repeat, today's game is not a 'must win', nor it is a 'must not lose', but it is very important and Arsenal will be desperate to get points on the board.
