GMS Academy member James Lee picks the best XIs made up from players of Manchester and London clubs.

It is time to start the unanswerable debate over which city has the best footballing side: London or Manchester. Here are the most likely starting XI should such a match happen this year...

Just looking at the line-up, you see that these are two world class compositions and that this would be a must-see game. After all, the 2014 Premier League champions will almost certainly come from one of those two cities. Indeed, you have to go back to 1995 to find a title winner from anywhere else (Blackburn).

But would Manchester - home of the previous three Premier League champions - have enough in its combined armoury to put London in its place? Or would the capital, being able to draw on a much bigger pool of talent, show the Mancs who is boss?

With the enormous talent on both teams, the game will be full of twists and turns making it almost impossible to predict a final score.

Alas this football fantasy is unlikely to happen anytime in the near future and so we can only dream of the kind of match it will be.

Who do you think would win? Comment who and the score and any player who should be replaced.
