Millwall suffer kit embarrassment

Published 3 Comments

Just picture this. You've lost your opening three games in the Championship, the second most competitive league in England, and are determined to get off the mark on a dismal day travelling away to Sheffield, hoping come 5 o'clock to wear the Millwall shirt with pride ...

Well the players could forget about the last bit today, after their kitman went and left it behind. You had one job, one job! Currently unnamed club kitman of Millwall has had what you could call an absolute shocker and left all the club's kit at The Den.

In light of this horror show, out of pure sympathy for the Championship stragglers, Wednesday offered their away kit from last year to the visitors, with Millwall forced to wear it.

The Sheffield Wednesday vs Sheffield Wednesday game, as you could call it, did end positively however for Millwall, who struck a late penalty thanks to Andy Keogh to earn a point. Finally their season is up and running, but for one person, their situation could prove to be in doubt.

"You're getting sacked in the morning."
