Hull City hung onto a 1-0 lead for more than 60 minutes to take three points from Norwich City.
Irish international Robbie Brady grabbed the only goal of the game, when scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, after former Hull player Michael Turner fouled Yannick Sagbo in the box.
But Steve Bruce's side went down to 10 men after Sagbo had used the motion of a headbutt against the Norwich defender Russell Martin five minutes later.
The Canaries' summer signings looked great within part of the first half as Hull City struggled to get out of their half.
Hull slowly worked at their game and Jake Livermore should have scored in the 16th minute. Aluko used the back of his heel to pass the ball through the Norwich's defence and into the path of Livermore, who put the ball over the bar.
Allan McGregor kept Hull in the game with a lot of top class saves. Ricky van Wolfswinkel got a free header in the Hull City penalty area that was only just saved by the Scot's fingertips and he knocked it over the bar.
It was a great win for Hull to put their first three points on the table for the season. If Hull want to stay these are the teams that they should be beating. They played really well, the passing was top class and the way they kept possession of the ball in the final minutes was amazing to watch!
The players that stood out for me were McGregor, Tom Huddlestone and Livermore.
