Arsenal players respond terrifically after disappointing opening game.

Arsenal's 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa on the opening day of the season saw a tirade of abuse come the way of Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidiz. Since then the Arsenal players have come out fighting, earning two comfortable wins against Fenerbahce and Fulham lifting some of the pressure placed on the Manager after a frustrating summer.

Aaron Ramsey has been the man leading the response for Arsene Wenger's team. He's worked hard, closing down opposition players and dominating the midfield while also improving in the final third of the pitch.

Other players have also responded well after their opening day defeat. Olivier Giroud has carried his fine pre-season form into the new season, scoring in all of Arsenal's opening matches. Arsenal's usual first choice right back Bacary Sagna has excelled while covering for Laurent Koscielny in the center of defense and Santi Cazorla today showed some of the form that made him such a favourite at the Emirates last season.

The tension surrounding the Emirates on opening day clearly had an effect on the players. They started well scoring an early goal but when Christian Benteke converted Villa's first penalty to equalize, the team collapsed under the pressure.

The lack of signings has seen a toxic atmosphere surround the club and it's understandable and entirely predictable. Fans were told at the beginning of the summer the Club could now compete financially with the biggest clubs in Europe and with a week left to go in the window and still no signings, supporters were rightly furious with the manager and members of the board.

Arsene Wenger has a lot to thank the players for since the defeat to Villa. Beating Fenerbahce 3-0 all but officially secures there place in this years Champions League group stage and that could prove vital in the closing stages of the Transfer Window. Time to pay back your players Arsene!
