Juan Mata joined Chelsea two years ago from Valencia for an estimated fee of £23m and since then he has scored 39 goals goals, and created over 50.
During this sort period he has also manage to win the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup as well as experiencing international success with Spain.
Mata was a key player under Andre Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo and Rafa Benitez as he played the majority of the games in a packed season in terms of games. Mata was the main man for Chelsea and won two Chelsea Player of the Year awards in his only two seasons at the club.
The 25-year-old is capable of playing with any player next to him. He proved that by forming a great partnership with Eden Hazard and Oscar last year and also playing well next to Victor Moses.
Teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all reportedly tracking Mata even after Jose Mourinho claimed he is very important to him at Chelsea and won't let him go.
Mata's movement combined with his vision and communication were the main reasons behind his success at England.
There is no doubt that Chelsea would have struggled to achieve the same level of success without Mata's contributions.
Now he has firmly settled in the Premier League there is no reason why he can not get better and could become one of the league's best players.
Letting him go would be nothing short of madness, especially if he was to go to a rival Premier League club.
